Governance
At SunGard, effective corporate governance means a commitment to integrity above all, appropriate oversight, accountability and strong internal practices, policies and controls. The company is accountable to its employees, customers, stakeholders (including our private equity sponsors and bond holders), local governments, regulators and the communities in which it operates.
Each employee is also held accountable for his or her actions. Our expectations for how we conduct ourselves are encapsulated in our core values and detailed in our Global Business Conduct and Compliance Program (GBCCP).
SunGard's controls for financial reporting, operational processes and administrative functions are regularly assessed by independent auditors and our own internal audit department, which reports to the Audit Committee of our Board of Directors. Our internal audit department also advises management on how to improve the effectiveness of SunGard's controls.
Business Ethics and Compliance
Everywhere our employees conduct business, they follow the same set of values, principles and ethical standards that define SunGard as a global leader.
SunGard’s Board of Directors adopted a Global Business Conduct and Compliance Program (GBCCP) to provide employees with clear guidelines for conduct as a representative of the Company. The GBCCP is a comprehensive, worldwide set of standards that applies to all employees, officers, directors and other representatives of the Company without exception. All employees certify annually that they have reviewed and adhere to the GBCCP. Employees also participate in mandatory online compliance and business ethics training and education.
In addition, we provide numerous documented channels by which employees and other parties can confidentially or anonymously report possible violations or escalate concerns, including a toll-free hotline and Web-based reporting service, and direct access to the Audit Committee of the Board, Company executives, and an employee’s own management team.
Employees who violate SunGard’s values, principles and standards, as described in the Global Business Conduct and Compliance Program (GBCCP), are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Information is integral to all SunGard products and services, and SunGard considers information security to be of paramount importance to maintaining the confidence and trust of our customers and all those who work with us. Safeguarding the data and systems that we manage is an essential cornerstone of our operations.
The SunGard Information Security Policy and Supporting Standards provide the foundation on which SunGard maintains a consistent and secure operational environment.
It is SunGard’s policy that information and information systems be appropriately managed and protected against all forms of unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, destruction, or denial. Security controls and measures, including employee training and education, must be sufficient to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and audit-ability.
